In Loving Memory of Lyle...

Dear Friends of FTGU:

For those of you who remember him, Lyle Boylan passed away this past Saturday at age 83. Lyle was another one of the "just call me and I'll be there" type of volunteers. At the age of 81, his doctor finally told him he couldn't volunteer with us anymore. Lyle was crushed but he did what the doc said.

You will probably get a kick out of what Lyle used to say about me (in his very dry tone): "doesn't matter what you do, she'll come over and change it anyway".......yes, he knew me pretty well and his sense of humor was always like that. He was a very quiet, unassuming man who did good deeds wherever
he went and wanted absolutely no one to know. We all cared for him very much. I know for sure where he has gone and am glad he feels no more pain.

We went to the funeral service in Stockbridge, Lyle's home town. His daughter, Diane remembered us and I am so very glad we went. He has named us in his list of charities to donate to in his name. Tonight I received an email from a couple who wants to donate $500 to us in Lyle's name. He helps us, still.

Please say a prayer and have a smile for Lyle. He IS with us; he loved the kids and the horses so.

Andrea Colella,
FTGU Program Director
